Sneak Peek Of BDB "Write Stuff" Swap

I signed up to do a Swap on the BDB, and I was fortunate enough to be paired with Shirlene of Nanas*Trunk*Boutique. A little info about Swaps, for those of you that don't know...basically, you sign up and each buyer then gets paired with a designer. The buyer purchases enough fabric to make two sets, one for your child, and one for the winning bidder. You work with your designer to come up with something that both of you will love. The designer makes the set, ships it back to you, and your child then models the set. Then you send the pics to the designer, and she lists the set, and hopes it makes big $$$. That is it, in a nutshell. Shirlene and I decided to do two sets. I chose high end Euro fabric for both. One set is knit, and the other is woven cotton. These auctions will commence on April 7th (my B-Day), so be on the lookout for our fabulous sets below! I was so thrilled with the outcome, and I would love to do this again!

Love the the pics! I am doing the same type of swap with the giggle girls & it has been such a blast! As a "non-seamstress", LOL!! it was so fun to browse the fabric world & pick up something cute! I ended up with RK's on a whim & thought it looked so Springy! I can't wait to see the turn out too! Your swap turned out so darling!!! Thanks for posting the pics!!

Thanks for your comment, Jennifer! These swaps are so much fun! I love being able interact with the designer, and shop actual fabric instead of sets. I was so eager to see how the sets turned out, so I can imagine you can't wait to see yours too! I can't tell you enough how much I love these designs that Shirlene did! She is an amazing seamstress!
