What I Got For Mother's Day...

Was a trip to the E.R. with Trevor. Yippee! Actually, since it was Mother's Day and all, Steve took him. He fell off of our bed on Saturday night, right smack onto the corner of the night stand. As you can see, he split open his head right above the eye. This is the second time something like this has happened. About two months ago he fell off the coach onto the corner of the coffee table. This was on the other side, just about the same spot, right above the eye. So now he will have matching scars. Of course, I went out and bought something like McDerma (they didn't have that brand at my store), but I guess what I got is pretty much the same thing, as it was more expensive. So anyway, last time this happened we rushed him in right away, waited 5 hours, then was told we could have butterflied it at home. So this time, since it was Saturday night at 9pm, and we figured we had at least a 6 hour wait, we just butterflied it at home and took him in the next day. Of course, I can never do anything right, and they told Steve that he probably would have needed stitches, we should have brought him right away, now it is too late to get stitches because it has already started to heal. UGH! So what I got for Mother's Day was a feeling of guilt, frustration, and sadness for my little boy. Hope you girls had a better one then I did!

I am happy to report that he is doing much better. He is now feeling well enough to play with his toys, and his big sister :)

Oh yikes...BUT, I've been there! Last summer Jackson fell twice in a 3 month period and had to get stitches in almost the exact same spot on his forehead--he has a "V" out of his scars! So sorry!

Poor guy!!! Glad to hear he's feeling better! (I found your blog through RNB, the eBay design group I'm in.)
