Where do you live now? About 15 minutes from my hometown
How many children do you have? Names and ages? Avery Shae - 9, Masyn Elise - 4, Evelyn Blair - 2
What are your hobbies (besides photography)? Sewing, reading, shopping, running, Pilates
What is the name of your business? Intimate Photography By Amelia
How did you come up with your name, is there a story behind it? I just thought of words I felt described my style of working. I like real, intimate settings and expressions.
Did you take any classes for photography or self-taught? Self taught. However, I would LOVE to take a class!

How long have you been in business? Officially, 7 months, realistically I've been taking photos for people for about 5 years.
What got you started? A good shove and encouragement from my dear talented friend Natalie (nataliekphotography.com)
What describes you artistic style? Breezy and natural...and erratic, I change all the time depending on how I see my subject.
Have you noticed a change in your style from when you first started? WAY more simplified. I did overkill when I first started. What is your inspiration? I would say everything I see....because it's never the same. I can be inspired by a shirt, a chair, a child, a wall....it's always something that peeks my interest and spurs me on.You have ties to the ebay boutique community.
Where you or are you still a designer? I was a designer on eBay for almost 5 years. I am still sewing, but only for my girls. I haven't ruled out coming back...but I will most likely sell on Etsy when (and if) I return to selling.
Do you take boutique modeling photos? Yes, I have and will.
Who is your favorite boutique designer? There are SO many greats! I love and adore mamapatrice!
If you could max out your credit card at one store, what store would that be? Anthropologie, hands down.

What types of shots are the hardest to achieve? The easiest? Hardest for me, would be backing off and getting a full scope shot. I really enjoy getting CLOSE up and seeing eyes. The easiest are inanimate objects.

Do you love to do outdoor photography, or do you prefer the indoor studio? I am an all natural light photographer, so outdoor is easier for me, but I LOVE the look of a nice window shot inside!!!
Do you like to go on location, like the beach or a park? Always
Do you photograph babies and small children? And does that add to your stress level? Parents of babies and children increase my stress level. If you let kids have fun they smile, when you pose them, they cry....parents don't tend to get this concept and make their kids get VERY fussy.
What kind of camera do you use? Do you like that or would you prefer a different one? I use a Canon 40D. I love it.. but the grass is always greener. One day I would like to have a Mark 1, but I haven't even reached the 5D level....who knows, I might switch to Nikon one day. I'm open! :o)
Do you have a website or blog we can go to and view your photos? I do! I have a blog where I showcase my work for now, it's http://www.ipbyamelia.typepad.com/
